(Mit Abu l-Kawm, Minoufiyya 1918- Cairo 1981). President of 
Egypt from 1970 to 1981. Sadat's background was military 
education. He was active in the dissident officer's actions of 
freeing Egypt from British control, together with Gamal Abdu l-
Nasser. He was arrested twice during the war, for co-operating 
with the Germans, and put to trial for plans to assasinate a 
politician in 1946, but acquitted. Sadat was on Nasser's side 
with the coup in 1952, and later the deposing of Neguib. Sadat 
was vice-president in two periods, 1964-66 and 1969-1970. With 
Nasser's death in 1970, Sadat was elected to the new precidency. 

To have been one of Nasser's closest associates, Sadat set a new 
course surprisingly independent from Nasser. While Nasser had 
oriented himself away from the West, and started co-operation 
closely with the Soviet Union, Sadat sacked 20,000 Soviet 
military personnel two year after seizing power. In 1973 Sadat 
was one of the instigators of the Yom Kippur war against Israel, 
gave only part of the victory hoped for (regaining ontrol over 
the Suez Canal was tremendously important), but which showed 
that the Arab military was now at least as strong as the Israeli 
(which needed US aid, to fight back the Arabs). The Yom Kippur 
war regarded as a victory for Sadat, especially compared to the 
falling star of Nasser in his last years at power. 

Sadat's rising star on the Arab sky, dropped to the ground in 
1977, when he surprised the world by visiting Israel, much 
motivated by the economical problems after many wars with 
Israel. In Israel Sadat spoke with prime minister Menachim 
Begin, and gave a speech in the national assembly of Israel, the 
Knesset. The result of the talks that started here, was the so-
called Camp David agreement, officially signed on March 26, 
1979. The treaty, was in two parts, Israel gave up land taken 
from Egypt, in change of peace. The other part, that should 
secure a Palestinian state, and no more settlements on the 
occupied territories, was never fulfilled from Israeli side. 

While the international society rewarded him with the Nobel 
Peace Prize in 1978 (together with Menachim Begin), the treaty 
with Israel isolated Egypt in the Arab world, and opposition was 
expressed from the Islamists. In September 1981, Sadat gave the 
order to round up 1,600 dissidents, Islamists and Communists. 
One month later, on October 6, he was shot by three soldiers 
under a military parade in Cairo. 

All of this is inevitable.  Anyone who has even a slight 
understanding of The Book of Revelation should know.  It has all 
been predicted right there.  But of course,sadly, most of you 
will NEVER know, as predicted.  You will simply continue 
bickering and will harden your hearts.....sealing your fate.  No 
amount of words can convince you.  You cannot be reached, for 
your soul is not truly yours. SAD but true. Yet, there is still 
hope for some of you.  Open your minds, open your eyes to what 
is happening right before them.  Take a look at world events and 
read some books.  A good suggestion would be to read anything 
written by Hal Lindsey, especially "Planet Earth 2000 A.D." 
and "Apocalypse Code" both of which are highly educational in 
the area of current events. You don't have to be a "religious 
fanatic" or even religous at all in order to gain valuable 
insight on past, current and future world events.  History 
itself is a great teacher.  If this message reaches even one 
person, then it is worth the effort that it took to send it.  
The best advice that can be offered to anyone is to avoid hatred 
and denial and BE PREPARED!

Christians who study the Word of God, know that the End Times 
will be characterized by the emergence of an all-inclusive 
religion, a one-world-church as some call it. Personally, I call 
it a unified world-view about God, a religious correspondent to

While still in embryonic state, in the not too distant future we 
will be "asked" to let go of individual "dividing and 
controversial" affirmations which could offend the sensibilities 
of others. All faiths have the same merits, the same worth. In 
other words, the God of the Hindus is the same God of the 
Muslims, is the same God of the Christians is the same God of 
the Ba'hais ecc. ecc. (And if you worship Satan, well, to 
be "religiously correct" you would have to include him as well.) 
We may call Him by different names but He is the same God of 
all. At last we have arrived at the all-inclusive, all 
pervading, none-offending sanitized god, truly the highest 
achievement of modern mankind in matters religious, or should I 
say, the "civilized West god view" since I doubt very much that 
those agitated Muslims we see on TV all over the world would 
submit to such nonsense. In this, they are wiser than 
the "civilized West." This vicious lie of the "Generic God" has 
been making its rounds for awhile, via esoteric teachings while 
in our recent historic past, the New Age movement has hammered 
it in the mind of countless unprepared people. Please don't be 
one of them.

suggest, however the validity of it has not yet been tested.  It 
can't be tested.  That's why they call having such beliefs faith.
It is presumptious to say that there are not many ways to get to 
God.  There are as many ways as there are human beings.  To be 
so rigid in one's beliefs is a mistake.  God exists (in my 
belief)and does not abandon human beings becase they have 
different rituals than yours or different  divinely inspired 
books than yours.  If I were to believe what you say, then the 
rest of the planet, composed of mainly non-christians, many who 
have never even heard of Jesus, would just be negated by God.  
So, regardless of your ritual or books which promise there is 
only one way, there are many ways.  They just aren't articluated 
in your writings.  Your teachings make you actually fearful of 
not beleiving the way you believe or accepting the validity of 
God's love for all humankind.  You need to learn to not be quite 
so rigid.  God loves all humanity.

you are convinced that you have the one and only way to God, it 
doesn't mean that you're right.  It means you're convinced.

Our record in wartime has not been perfect in its cause (Viet

Hi!  I love the U.S.  I have friends that even worked at the 
pentagon.  I do not hate America, but I do hate it when the 
government is supposed to protect us and they do not.  All I am 
saying is I want to know why they use symbols also associated 
with Wicca symbols.  I do know that anytime innocent people get 
killed it is not right.  I have never killed nobody and 
definitely am not a terroist.  I do however have the freedom of 
speech.  The government spends money on a lot of stupid stuff 
and not enough on protecting us.  If you would like to know, I 
did vote for Bush.  I thought it was ironic though that back in 
1990 Sept 11 his dad made a presidential speech about the new

needs to take should however not, I hope, be mistaken 
persecution of any race or religion, though initially I fear it 
might be. It's just good versus evil. I'm not religious, never 
have been, never will be, but I'd like to think with humility 
that I can still tell right from wrong.

I'm sure that as a nation the U.S. is quite capable of taking 
care of itself, and I can can only speak for myself as someone 
from Britain, in saying that this is a conflict against terror 
that you should'nt have to fight on your own.
